Anime Central 2006 - Bigger and Bigger Every Year!
Well, what can we here at AGW can say about Anime Central this year? Only that it was great! Everyone who was all there who was in cosplay definitely brought their “A” game this time around. The masquerade this year was the best by far. There were people who did walk-on parts that pretty much awed the folks there, even yours truly. One person I thought was probably the best cosplay there was a person who came as Shishi Gami, The spirit god of Princess Mononoke. (photo curtcy of Cassie D.) Not to mention the skits that were all preformed. I would have almost mistaken this masquerade for almost a night at the theater. Yes the skits were that great, and not to mention that the intermission part (1.4MB MPG) was also a blast to see too. Lets just say that this time you just had to be there to see the events.
Also this year we didn’t do too much talking with people. We got to sit down with a few voice actors such as Chris Patton from ADV who did the voice of Greed from Full Metal Alchemist. Also I think the whole highlight of the interviews is that we got to sit down with Fred (Piro) Gallagher from Megatokyo. Fred was actually an inspirational person that we talked to but knowing what he says on his rants you might see, I think he would deny this claim. =)
Overall, Anime Central was a great con and you can definitely count us there again when ACEN comes back for 2007!

Anime Reactor 2 Atomic Boogaloo
The Anime Gone Wild crew and I have just got back from this year's Anime
Reactor and once again we found ourselves having a good time. This
year we got a chance to talk with guests like Toshihiro Kawamoto (Character
designer for Cowboy Bebop and Wolf's Rain.), Tensai Okamura (Director
of Wolf's Rain), Ryo Mizuno (creator of "Record of Lodoss Wars"),
Steve
Benett (Co-founder and Art Director of Studio Iron Cat), and finally
Bob
and Emily Dejesus (Studio Capsule). We also got a great deal of
cosplay pictures from this year’s event
so be sure to keep checking the site for future updates.
I'd also like to take time to give a special thanks to James Alsup, Chanda Rowan and the rest of the Anime reactor staff for having us again this year. I'd also like to thank all of this year's guests for taking the time to talk with us as well.
Humble Regards
Scott Linkenheld the Blue Dragon
