Welcome
to our Frequently Asked Questions page!
Here
you will find questions to many issues that we have received
regarding Deathstalkers and Cutter's Guild! If you have a
question that's not on here, please e-mail us at guildmaster@cuttersguild.com
We will respond personally to all questions, usually within
24 hours!
Q:
What is Cutter's Guild's writing policies?
A:
Cutter's Guild will accept written work and artwork from any
fan who submits it! Though we cannot guarantee that your work
will make it into a finished book or product, we will read,
review and look it over. We will even respond personally to
you! All work submitted has a 100% chance of making it onto
a future web page, as well as being included in one of the
CD-ROM versions of our books in a folder called "What
Fans Write". Though we do not pay for this work, it will
be out there for all to see! If we use your work in one of
our books, we will pay you a fair sum!
Q:
Where can I find the answers to the riddles and secrets of
the game?
A:
You can't. We do not give them out under any circumstance.
However, if you feel you have an answer and would like to
submit it, we will tell you if you're correct or not. We may
also periodically give away free items to those
with correct answers!
Q:
Will Deathstalkers have support books?
A:
YES!! We have Expansion Packs out and other projects on the
table. It will be fully supported for years to come!
Q:
Why did Cutters Guild change the format of Deathstalkers
when they released the Second Edition version?
A:
We changed the format to a hardcover book for many reasons.
We also dropped the page count from 600 pages down to around
450 pages. We did this for the following reasons:
1. To make is more accessible for stores to carry!
2. To reduce the price of the product and pass the savings
on to you!
3. To make an overall "better" product
Q:
Has Deathstalkers been changed from the original version now
that it is in its 2nd Edition?
A:
Yes, and no. The game itself is still the same! All of the
rules and "little things" that made Deathstalkers
so popular has been left untouched. However, we did add and
clip things from various sections. The number one improvement
we made was to the Combat section, where we incorporated the
Brutality Rules to make the system easier to understand and
use. We also got rid of some of the games "fluff"
and replaced it with some of the better aspects of Expansion
Packs 1 and 2. All in all, the game is the same, but leaner
and meaner.
Q:
Are you guys "selling out" on all your original
fans?
A:
NO!!! We realize that it is YOU who have made this,
until now, "underground game" such a hit. While
our company is expanding and we are getting bigger, we are
not changing our views, philosophies or company policies.
We will still respond to ALL of your e-mail within 24-hours,
we will still write you back when you send us letters, we
will still ONLY hire the best of new and aspiring artists
and writers and we will still make games tailored to our fans.
We have changed the format of Deathstalkers. However, we have
not changed the game. We just want to bring YOU the best possible
products!
Q:
So, now that 2nd Edition is out, whats going to happen
to the original version and Expansion Packs?
A:
Now that Deathstalkers 2nd Edition is out, we will NO LONGER
SELL THE ORIGINAL VERSION OF THE GAME. Also, we will no longer
be selling the CD-ROM versions, or the Expansion Packs. We
do have a very limited supply of these old binder versions
in stock, so if youre interested please contact us first
for availability. If we get enough requests, we will resume
selling them as "Deathstalkers Classic Version",
but only as a POD product and only in very limited numbers.
